Cathy Juska-Butel

Cathy Juska-Butel, is a physiotherapist who is the director of Butel Health Services Pty Ltd. She established the company in 1997 as a vehicle to provide an holistic approach to healthcare for individuals and corporations.
Clinical Services
Generally referred to as "back or neck pain" Cathy provides a thorough assessment and clinical treatment of pain and movement difficulty related problems with spinal alignment and control.
She will assess each individual's symptoms, provide provisional diagnosis, recommend relevant further tests and provide treatment plan and self management strategies.
Often misdiagnosed as back pain is "pelvic instability". Cathy applies current research to the assessment for diagnosis of pelvic instability. Each individual is progressed through a graded exercise program using biofeedback provided by a Real Time Ultrasound machine.
Sports injury treatment is offered based on the biomechanical assessment. Cathy assesses for underlying , predisposing injury factors such as spinal alignment, muscle imbalance and poor or ineffective training technique. Butel Physiotherapy Practice employs Jamie Page, a physiotherapist with a degree in Rehabilitation Science who offers sport's training advice.
Problems with walking such as intoed or knock kneed pattern or unstable or awkward run technique is assessed and treated by Cathy in direct consultation with Podiatrists or Orthotists.
Fitness Training Injuries are common with both athletes and the average person just "wanting to get fit and toned". Cathy provides assessment of the individual's strengths and weaknesses, the suitablility of the gym or fitness program and liaise with personal trainers for optimal training results.
Work injury is caused by accidents or repetitious strain injuries or poor work posture and technique. Cathy assesses manual handling faults in clinical roooms or on work site. Ergonomics and Manual Handling Training is available.
Dry Needling Technique with acupuncture needles and Laser are complementary treatments applied for assistance with Physiotherapy treament goals. Cathy will discuss the benefits of these complementary treatments with individuals on a case by case basis.
Corporate Services
Cathy consults with corporations for Health Initiatives providing education on posture and manual handling and injury screening assessment.
Cathy is an assessor for people with a PHYSICAL DISABILITY for mobility needs and home modifications.
Cathy is a team member of a PHD research project for the treatment of pelvic instability and SACROILIAC JOINT DYSFUNCTION. The research project records the improvement in pelvic pain and chronic lower back pain with the treatment of PROLOTHERAPY under Spect CT with a CORE MUSCLE RETRAINING exercise program.
